When choosing your wedding venue, there is so much to consider. What capacities can they accept, do they have a civil ceremony license, is accommodation available etc.

Picking the right wedding venue is a decision not to be made lightly, so take a good look around plenty of them and compare value for money and of course which you liked the most! Remember to take plenty of photographs when you are looking around as these will act as great reference when it comes to making the final choice.

In the UK, wedding venues must have a license, which is granted by the local council. There are all kinds of rules that must be followed, including one that says the proceedings are freely open to the public. Luckily, most hotels, country houses, event spaces, and sports venues have licensed rooms or areas.
